DJ Xotec: Marcella’s White Party VIII (redux) part 1

I had to barback the White Party at Marcellas, and I was so busy with drunken VIP’s, I barely had time to listen to the music spun by our three favorite resident DJ’s: Charles Masters, Dj Lil Joe, and DJ Xotec. Alright, so Xotec is really just once a month, but he USED to be resident. Anyways, after realizing we weren’t going to be able to record the whole night, Xotec promised us a White Party mix, and here it is.. well the first half at least.

Xotec: The Filthy and the Fierce (Filthy’s Bday redux)

• A funny thing happened when I opened Ableton on my laptop a few days after I performed a special b-day set for dekoze aka, “filthy bitch” (it’s a term of endearment) at Footwork a few weeks back…“Program closed before saving, do you want to recover your work?”Hmmmmm….ok! I discovered that I must have hit the red record button at some point, as I managed to capture about 35 minutes of the set….certainly didn’t intend to, becasue I wasn’t going to risk a glitch by overloading the RAM…The nice thing about Ableton Live - it’s real easy pick up where I left off, so to speak, and add to the 35 minutes I had recorded to make a full length mix…so I did…now I can share it with you…

Dj Xotec - Freak Dancer Resurrection

Grumpybear calls him the godfather, I call him a homewrecker (long story, but I still love him). Either way, Xotec is the man (Pronownce it Ex-o-tech). Once of the forefather Dj’s from Buffalo, Xotec spends his time spinning in Rochester with monthly jaunts down to Marcella’s (he was here last week). It’s really hard to say what he does, some days its house, sometimes its trance, sometimes its rock-trip-commercial-hardcore. X does what he likes and its always freakin gold… see for yourself:
