Scranto’s Video Test

March 14th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Kinda Gay

John bought himself a new digital camera, and sent me this video to show the quality of the recording. I twittered about it, only to have the bears demand viewing rights as well. So here it is, coupled with a testdrive of the new Sprout online flash widget creator.

New Bravo show is a Fierce Tranny Hot Mess

March 14th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Ooh! Pretty!

Ever since Project Runway, I’ve had the impressions of Christian Siriano stuck in my head. Now, everything is fierce and everyone is a hot mess. Course, Angel makes it all stick since he talks mostly that way too. Gotta love SNL though.

Oh yea, Hulu is now open to the public, so check it out to see some of your favorite shows and clips online for free.

[update] Thanks to nfotxn, i found this fierce t-shirt that can be yours for the fierce fierce price of $20. Make it work!

Santogold - L.E.S. Artistes

March 7th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Ooh! Pretty!

I recently started listening to Santogold when I heard of them from the RCRD LBL blog. L.E.S. Artistes was a favorite track and now I have a video to go with it.

Directed by Nima Nourizadeh. I really dig the violence, its so artistic and even at some points intentionally faux-realistic. You just gotta watch.

  • This is better than good; this is gold— SANTOGOLD! Santogold is a survivor of a half-century worth of living along musical evolution’s most cutting edges. The only live act that can boast of having out-aged Barbara Bush, having outlived Mr. Miyagi and out-styled Liberace, Santogold is here with future flavor.Already receiving weighty club rotation and airplay in urban Afghanistan and downtown Beirut, Santogold is the first act of the century to boast a post-war following on the International Space Station Mir. Following a live performance broadcast from three thousand miles off the Cape of Good Hope last June, inmates at Leavenworth Penitentiary received Santogold with a celebratory confetti parade. Just another first for the modern super group that knows no bound.Composed of absolutely no members, Santogold is also the first musical outfit capable of claiming the planet’s broiling collective consciousness as their front woman. Longtime collaborator, singer and songwriter Santi White says of her work with Santogold, “We began trying to write pop songs to sell, which made us depressed, so we started writing songs for ourselves instead.” The results of that self-centered conceit is the songwriting work heard for the first time on the full length Santogold album, as yet untitled, to be released in 2007 on the Lizard King label.

As unmastered tracks leaked over the internet this past November, the request lines of radio stations from Miami to Hanoi began freezing with a flood of calls from listeners eager to hear the new Santogold sound over their frequencies. From his radio show in the United Arab Emirates capital city of Abu Dhabi, Michael Jackson (the King of Pop) played what Santogold snippets he had been able to pirate from a bootleg MySpace page dedicated to the group. Days later, BBC Radio One reported that the unreleased Santogold debut was heard blasting from the iPod shuffle of Libyan ruler Moammar Qaddafi as he entered an international summit in the Nigerian capital of Abuja. Recognizing the urgent need to address the uproarious buzz, Santogold released the following statement through their label reps at Lizard King: “The response to our unmastered songs has been both premature and phenomenal! We were happy to hear that the children of Darfur have found hope in our melodic interpretation of life on the battlefield of love! We’re hoping that each and every 20-something from downtown San Francisco to central Mumbai will also learn something from our work! And to the people dropping no-knock fire on old ladies in Atlanta: shame on you! Santogold ain’t with that shit!”

The trajectory of such early successes leading to newfound political clout is nothing new for Santogold, whose debut album, though half a century in the making, is sure to rock glass pipes from the Lincoln Memorial to Buckingham palace. The flavor of the gold is guaranteed: Santogold! - Via Myspace

Planet Unicorn: Tom Cruise Returns with Episode 6

March 5th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Ooh! Pretty!

When Channel 101 cancelled Planet Unicorn a few months back, my world was crushed. How was I supposed to go on without knowing what happened to Tom cruise and his pastel colored unicorn friends? Fortune has prevailed and blessed us with one more episode, despite the belated Christmas theme.

Monday Tuneday: Justice DVNO

March 3rd, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Ooh! Pretty!

I’ve watched “DVNO” about 10 times so far since it was “released” this weekend. I can’t get enough. The newest Justice video was directed by SO ME, the same person who directed DANCE and is responsible for nearly all the graphical work that accompanies the killer acts on the Ed Banger Label.

Styled as a tribute to the 70-80’s style tv bumps, see how many you can spot.

Superbowl: Hulu makes watching the Superbowl obsolete.

February 4th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Ooh! Pretty!

sbads2008hulu.jpg

I didn’t watch the Superbowl. The Giants won though, right? Thats nice, I’m sure it was fun, I’m sure you all drank too much beer and woke up a bit sick from diving in the community dip bowl where everyone’s grubby fingers (yours included) double dipped all night. Germs are tasty eh?

Anyways, the only draw, well what used to be, was the halftime show, movie trailers, and Budweiser ads. Well, Paula Abdul bit it hard this time, the Bud ads aren’t what they used to be, and the movie trailers aren’t anything new if you saw any movie in the past month.

Now, Hulu, freemium online video “snacking” service, has put up all 56 ads for your viewing pleasure on their site. the downside is that you have to register for a free beta invitation, but I’ve embedded some of the more interesting ads in this post. Click after the jump to view them.

Bat For Lashes video has Furries and Glitter FTW

January 23rd, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in Ooh! Pretty!

batforlashes_banner.jpg

If you have never heard of Bat for Lashes before, don’t feel bad, I didn’t until 30 minutes ago. Bat for Lashes is Natasha Kahn, a Brighton born English songwriter who gives us an idea of what would happen if Tori Amos, the old (really early) Goldfrapp, and björk had a mutant baby who sang.

A contender for the Mercury Prize (lost to the Klaxons), her debut album is Fur and Gold, and she has already finished writing her second album, which is soon to hit the recording studio.

BfL’s video single, “What’s a Girl To Do” was also named Best Video of the Year by Antville. It features Natasha riding very Darko-like with some synchronized bikers in fur suits. In a stunning match to the ethereal tune, check it out below and buy this little lady’s album.

 YouTube Preview Image

What could be hotter than the new single from handsome daddy porn star Colton Ford? The fact that it features NYC’s dirty rapper boy Cazwell. Ford steams it up and Cazwell drops his beats in this kinda-not-so-safe-for -work music video. Directed by Joe Oppedisano and off of the new release “Tug of War.”

The Third Installment, still shitty as ever

I’m not gonna post a reaction video because this shit (literally) does not phase me anymore. Maybe cause I’m a sick fuck to begin with or because I have had to deal with situations at work in the back end of the ballpark like this. Anyways, 2girls1cup had a sequel, called 2girls1finger. It featured the same shit, a little more fiber in this one, but ya know.. gross.  Well, I just found out about the newest edition, 4girlsfingerpaint.  figure it out.

Remember a time when tubgirl and goatse and lemon party were the only ways to freak out your friends?

Work it lady. She really came back with a nice new video, kinky and reminiscent of old school Janet Jackson. I love the dancing in the milk scene at the end. totally senseless but hot as hell.
