I nearly dropped the Boogie Man when I opened the box from Mishka and found out it glows. Let me rephrase, this thing lights the fuck up. If diecast Cyco Simon suspenders weren't enough, the innards of the Boogie Man have a flashing light that activates when disturbed, kinda like those crazy balls you get in machines.

The Boogie Man is by far my favorite piece i've collected. It makes me feel like I'm a legit kaiju collector, no? Either that, or a budding Lamour Supreme/Mishka Stalker.
I took some more pics, which you can check out from the links below. Click through to see my first kaiju I ever bought, Super 7's Stomp, glowing in the dark (Jay and I had a last minute long exposure party before bed last night).

Mishka is steadily becoming my number 1 hipster thread label of choice... mostly for reasons like this....

Mishka, along with Cure, harnessing the incredible talents of Lamour Supreme (he did the
Mongolion), have released this supremely limited top-notch quality vinyl piece from hell. Cast in Acid Green translucent vinyl, with MISHKA colors sprayed thoughout, Cyco Simon suspenders, Goat Mask, hatchet, guts, and a MadBall homage head... god this piece is amazing. And I fear I'll never touch it.

The Boogie Man dropped at the 350 Broadway Mishka shop in NYC yesterday, May 21st. There was a big party, Lamour showed up to sign some stuff, doodle, and I'm sure there aren't any left. If anyone sees one for sale let me know.
Going back to Mishka being so fucking awesome, did you know that they sell
vinyl/kaiju online and at 350 Broadway? I'm really excited for the upcoming releases that Mishka + Lamour Supreme are working on. Its all speculation, but I'm certain we'll see a Mishka Mongolion release in the future, too.

UPDATE: MISHKA hooked me up and $150 bones later... I'll have it in my hands soon.
The rest of this week, I will be posting selfish things that I want for my birthday. First up is the Mishka Keep Watch Aviator brown leather New Era Cap.
Mishka has been mad serious poppin out some quality caps with New Era, and that's special to me being a Buffalo boy. I fell in love with the Keep Watch eyeball, don't know if
Lamour Supreme had anything to do with it but it seriously rocks. And the Dog eared cap is just my style: a true 5950, leather made, with the fluff on the side is some serious win. Limited as fuck,
so get yours (and mine) now for $74.99.
I'll take one in 7 1/4 and my address is 274 summer st, buffalo ny, 14222. kthx.

Check out the Bearmop'age straight from
MISHKA. Sitting on my desk as I arrived to work, goodies are the perfect thing to motivate an already spent Monday.
Not only did I get a handsigned/sealed 1/25 Skunk Ape, not only did I get some sweet stickers and a couple of pins, but they threw in a M.U.S.C.L.E shirt as well! I admit to crush hard on labels and brands that deliver consistently solid products, but I'm definitely in love with brands that love their consumers back. Way to take a little pain off a day where the first 5 hours (actually from 5pm saturday to 5am this morning) were spent barbacking for a bunch of drag queens.
OH, and check out what I did with the KEEP WATCH pins:

Its gonna be a party, and as much as I'm almost burnt out on the Dunny platform, i'll be there snatching up the goodies. As I become more knowledgeable in the Designer/Vinyl toy realm, I start to get more excited about the individual customs. Series 4 I was a complete dummy; in this cycle I'm amped for Amanda Vissel, Frank Kozik, Huck Gee, DevilRobots, Jesse LeDoux, and of course, MISHKA.
I wear a lot of
MISHKA, thanks to the boys at
Krudmart keeping me in stock. The MISHKA Dunny is the
first second (see below) for the NYC fashion label, and to celebrate, they are selling 25 custom Bear Mopped autographed Skunk Ape Dunnys from their online store.

I of course, just bought one, but I'm anxious to get another; keeping the collectors pack in mint condition.

[Update: Not ten minutes after posting this, does MISHKA comment and remind me that they actually had a figure in Series 3, "My Pal the Crook." This goes to show how much I paid attention to S3. Either way, totally stoked and essited. Way to go MISHKA! ]

I'm horribly white, I don't like baggy clothes, I refuse to wear dunks, and you will never see a swoosh anywhere near my body. That being said, I've also never owned a fitted in my life. However, seeing as Angel and I are swapping cultures more and more (he's gone from puerto rican to european, and i'm getting slighty hood in the speech), I took him to New Era on his Birthday (think 20x2+1).
We poked around a bit, and Angel finally settled on a grey NY cap. I tried a few on myself, and was suprised to see a few labels i recognized gracing the walls next to the more urban mainstays. One of which was
Mishka, a NY label that makes urban wear thats pretty bizarre and pretty rad. I own a pink Mishka shirt called "crud white," featuring a cracked out zombie snow white ripping the arm off of zombie prince charming. The cap had a familiar figure on it, the cover art death adder from the Megadeth album. I'm no metal fan but the cap was so characteristically me that i had to toss it in with Angels fitted.
So here I am below, making my debut as white hood... had so much fun at Marcella's with it; Angel wasn't recognized in his fitted and everyone thought we raided each others closets.
