Seriously, I didn't fall asleep on the keyboard, thats just how this new joyful addition to my RSS reader is spellllt. FFFFOUND! is social bookmarking... FFFFor images. In private beta at this moment, FFFFound! brings all the mind blowing photos and graphics from the web to their own little sanctum via people who would rather look at pretty pictures than read an article. ie. ME. Better than the Best Pic Ever, this is a smorgasboard repository of all the BPE's, complete with tasty javascripty bookmarklet ease of submission. So far, all 350+ pages of images are truly stunning, with links to the img source as well as the page it was found on. Here's to them opening it up a little more, like enough to let me in to submit fractal goatse's and shots of my cat with a waffle on his head.

Wet dog boots are not sexy

Taken 30 Oct '07, 5.33pm EDT PST.

Can we guess the mistake in this picture? The colder it gets, the more of these fuzzy abominations pop up... And then it snows. Whoever designed fuzzy boots never thought that dumb girls in buffalo would actually wear them in snow, slush, and even rain.

Dunnymation – Homestar Pwnage

Verizon cut out our internet at the office last night, but ok. I made lemon sorbet out of lemons, and composed a stop motion clip featuring my Dunny Army. This is my first stopmotion video ever, and I know I made a few mistakes, but it was fun. I got all the little toys (minus the bastard HomeStar Runner Strongbad, thats Chris') from Beth and Mark at Hero Design Studio on Allen. You gotta check out all the unique vinyl toys and indie band posters they have.

Stronger (Diplo work is never over)

07.16.2007 @ 12:07 PM in Culture

When I heard Kayne West's "Stronger," I was stuck. I love the Daft Punk, but Kanye juest doesn't cut it for me. Don't get me wrong, its a pretty swinging hip hop track, but I want something I can rock at teh clubs. Enter DJ XoTec. Essentially, Chris is the greatest DJ in this area handsdown. When you hear him spin, most of it is brand new, mixed for the first time right there, just for you. And when he does pull from the realm, its hardly mainstream... thus this weekend(he played at Marcellas last Sat) I found my Stronger solution. The Diplo mix of "stronger" takes the modified Daft Punk hook and gives it center stage, leaving a breakbeat, pop-happy mix that is truly fresh. listen to it over at Analog Giant... diplo@Myspace

The Stache Bash

God, I love a breeder party. It was a short notice party, mustache required, 80's garb a must; BYOB. I didn't know what to wear so I stopped by Krudmart to find something mildly innapropriate to wear... I found this faux leather jacket over Ramones punk screened T, complete with buttons. It went down hill from there.... Angel's pleather snakeskin pants and a wig we hacked up... cue the angsty poses...

[I'm so not gonna have fun at this fascist party]

[I'm smoking because I don't conform to your healthy lifestyle]

Everyone there either had a real stache, a fake stache, or one drawn on. Girls included... it was hot... maybe about 80 people showed up, beer everywhere, like an old school party with porn stars and Pat Benetars stumbling all over the place. After a while, everyone was drunk, the staches had mostly fallen off, the latent homosexual tendancies of the straight boys and girls escalated into photo ops that Angel quite masterfully captured...

There was this one hot girl... Beth.

She wore a homemade rip-T dress crimped hair and worked her looks to the core.. everyone did really. We were all in character the entire night, with me being the hypocritically social punk introvert...

Oh, and lets not forget the super hot Jay... I made angel snap some pics of him.. he's my hot bear du Jour!

here's one of the Dimmer... and check some more pics on me flickr... Angel has the rest... but we got to get his flickr account fixed (he's a yahoo photo transfer)

Walking into the cafeteria line at work, settling for a riblet sandwhich, the lunch lady ruffles through some pictures and hands me a few... I'm only showing you one...

During christmas, I was hijacked and thrust into an elf suit to accompany Santa as we made our merry way down to all the rooms... The participants got a kick out of it all... but I think my fellow staff members had a little too much enjoyment... The things I don't get paid enough to do...

Now for some real gummies

04.11.2007 @ 2:26 PM in Culture
Angel and I were browsing through the candy section of Walgreens after a movie last night... continuing my thoughts and discussion on how the candy industry is changing and evolving to cater to the pint size black holes we call kids. I don't even think its the taste any more... kids want action...  I noticed that bubblegum tape now acts as a "secret message sender" with the ability to stamp letters on that two inch strip of gum you begrudgingly let your pal have.  Gummy worms now have a pair of lighted forceps to pick up that worm and "watch the gummies glow!" The new confection-contraptions trigger nostalgia, and we head to the old-farts candy section... where the boston baked beans and licorice dots hang in 5oz bags. I pick up some Gummi Bears and Happy Colas, from Haribo, of course.

Linkin Park shines a new look, new album, new single on iTunes

04.04.2007 @ 8:18 PM in Culture

For the first time in four years, Linkin Park is getting ready to drop a new full length album. Called "Minutes to Midnight," the sound is not quite what old fans, or few time listeners would expect. I would say that LP has evolved in the last few years... Those who were once young angst-filled fans connecting with a band that knew what they were going through will now have a band that tackles a few more "grown-up" problems. Or at least that's what this diehard LP biased "I don't care I like it no matter what" fan has to say....While the first single for the Album, called "What I've Done" may not come out to CD till the end of April, it was released today along with the music video on iTunes. Naturally, I bought both and pre-ordered the album (if you pre-order, you get two bonus tracks exclusive to iTunes)... The song is powerful, and Chester carries it the whole way (Mike Shinoda "Na Na's" at the end)... and the video, directed by resident DJ, Mr Hahn, sheds a little light on what hypocrisies we wear every day. Linkin Park on iTunes check after the jump for Screen Caps of the Video, and lyrics sh1.jpg In this farewell, There is no blood, There is no alibi, Cause I’ve drawn regret, From the truth, Of a thousands lies, So let mercy come and wash away…What I’ve Done, I’ll face myself, To cross out what I’ve become, Erase myself, And let go of what I’ve done… ss2.jpg Put to rest, What you thought of me While, I clean this slate, With the hands, Of uncertainty, So let mercy come, And wash away… ss3.jpg What I’ve Done, I’ll face myself, To cross out what I’ve become, Erase myself, And let go of what I’ve done… ss4.jpg For what I’ve done, I start again, And whatever pain may come, Today this ends, I’m forgiving what I’ve done… ss5.jpg I’ll face myself, To cross out what I’ve become, Erase myself, And let go of what I’ve done… ss6.jpg (Na,Na,Na) ss7.jpg What I’ve Done, ss8.jpg What I’ve Done, ss9.jpg Forgiving what I’ve done…
