WANT: Tokidoki “MINI KARL”

Karl Lagerfeld is probably one of my absolute favorite fashion designers. He’s a dirty old man, but he dresses like a fucking rock-star. No doubt, Simone Legno was the perfect artist to turn The Karl into a mini fig.

Sold only at Colette, the Mini Karl is limited to 100pcs and sells for € 129.00 each. Goes on sale soon.  I. Fuckin. Want.

Here I was, just lounging, and I was thinking “hmm, this Bonobos Polo shirt is so comfy, I’d love to share that comfy with everyone in the world!” Since I’m no Sugar Daddy, free comfy Bonobos for everyone just isn’t possible (I can offer you 15% your first order, just use code “buffawhat” in checkout!) , but if you head over to The Bilerico Project, I’m giving away one free Bonobos Better Fitting Polo to a lucky random commenter. Head over there quick, the contest ends the 28th at 9:30AM!

p.s. – did you know I’m a contributor for The Bilerico Project? Bilerico is a great site, full of community and lots of LGBT details on nearly every issue that’s been swirling about lately.

The Third and The Seventh

I love architecture, and artist Alex Roman has a unique way of capturing the visual beauty of some of the best designed buildings in the world: he renders them in 3d. Focusing on the natural laws of light, Alex painstakingly rendered with total accuracy the Louis Kahn’s Phillips Exeter Academy Library, in NH.

Made in 3dsmax, Premiere, and rendered in VRay, “The Third and the Seventh” is a peaceful beauty. Check it out below, and visit his site for more works.

Huw and I were feigning for more chik-fil-a, and took Jay along for the ride
to Erie. I really wish one was closer to Buffalo, but the 150 Mile road trip
is getting to be a tasty little tradition. Good times all around, specially
when I’m with my loved ones. #snap.

The Crookers always cook up a good beat, and I’m digging the electro dancehall thing that’s been going on lately. Here’s “Put Your Hands On Me” featuring Kardinal Offishall. I hope you like grannys…

Kinzua Bridge: Better in Ruins.

09.17.2009 @ 1:10 PM in Lifestream

Kinzua Trip 22
Jay and I took to the woods last week, taking a Monday off to get lost and be together. We decided to run through to the Kinzua Bridge, which was toppled by a tornado in 2003. Not being content with the view from the top, we went down the gorge and went exploring…

Kinzua Trip 15

Built from wrought iron in 1882, the Kinzua Bridge was once the tallest and longest railroad bridge in the world.
Kinzua Trip 20

At the highest gap, the bridge stood 300 feet tall, and spanned over 2000 feet.
Kinzua Trip 27

The bridge’s foundation eventually lent itself to disaster as the F1 tornado ripped it right from the ground in 2003.
Kinzua Trip 34

tons of iron supports simply bent and folded as they crashed into the gorge.
Kinzua Trip 37

We could have hopped the fence and walked to the edge, but the view from below was much better.
Kinzua Trip 39

it was like climbing over a giant Erector set that God had trampled.
Kinzua Trip 41

I think rusted iron is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
Kinzua Trip 44
i couldn’t resist climbing on some of it.

Hot Bear du Jour: Woofy boyfriend edition

Kinzua Trip 23

After some serious coaxing, Jay has let the scruff accumulate on his face. I think he looks hot, and he’s just now starting to see what the big stink is about rubbing beards together (AKA “Chearding”). #snap

Snap! – 5-0 roll in, vogue kids scatter

09.13.2009 @ 1:43 PM in Lifestream

While we welcome everyone at Club Marcella, you still can’t gather in the
complex parking lot, hop on top of cars, and start a mob… even if you just
wanna do a dip onto the concrete. The vogue scene in Buffalo came together
last night, the typical gun battles normally seen in that lot in years past
now replaced with dance battles. It was interesting to watch, till the cops
came. #snap

Snap! - Captain Jacks

Jay and I finally got around to going to captain jacks fish and chips, the
new seafare restaurant right across from panos. Its ok. Fish is good, not
amazing, chips are really just thin fries (for shame), and the clam strips
had a mite too much breading. But the tartar sauce was good. #snap

Hot bear du Jour: 80’s Pornstache FTW

Hot bear du Jour: 80's Pornstache FTW

This was a young cub, but his unique/ironic/woofy choice of facial hair made
me double take. I don’t know if he’s gay or if this generation just acts
sassy. Either way, I’d do dirty 80’s porno things to him. #snap
