There's a new energy drink in town, trying to uprooted Redbull from its position as mixer of choice. Actually, Shark has been around longer than RedBull, but only recently made the effort to complete for a chunk of high octave real estate in the nightlife realm.
I drink Shark with Jack Daniels. I know, it sounds like it would taste like shit, but I happen to like the taste of tire rubber. I think it tastes a lot better than Red bull, too, and form the looks of it, Buffalo is welcoming the rising kidney reaper as well.
Heya Griff! Im at Club Marcella, setting up for the biggest weekend of the summer. We remodeled the whole bar for the White party, gone are the cubist shelves and cubbies, replaced with a more traditional and reflective tiered setup. We even picked up two flat panels and now the bar looks a bit like a less cramped Cathodes.
All of the concrete panels are off of the main section, and they seem to be test fitting the glass panels on the other side. Also, they are spraying something all over the support beams, dont ask me what or why, because I'm not a building guy. Its cool though...
These three young girls were merely grooving along to the hi fideilty of the Best Buy satellite radio display when the white man had to show up and ruin the party. Please note, it appears he was a Geek Squad employee.

Remember Barry the Beaver? Well making questionable vibrating vinyl isn't the only thing Jeremy Fish does. He's actually a very talented artist, often working with Upper Playground to produce urban wear, art prints and apparently pub glasses too. Much to the delight of his alcoholic fans, you can pick up Jeremy's Big Skull Pint Glass for 15 bucks from Design Public.
I've known Chris for about two years, almost as long as I've worked in Depew. Chris is my bus buddy, though normally I only see him on Fridays when I take the earlier route.
We never officially exchanged names or even consider each other real friends but we always shoot the shit like the best of buddies when we see each other in the mornings, talking about our love affairs and our weekend jobs at our respective nightspots.
I never really pegged him as hot; never really thought of it before. But today he had just the right balance of trim and scruff to warrant a Snap.
"Alice" is an electronic song created 90% of audio pieces taken from the movie "Alice in Wonderland." The accompanying video features clever editing from the movie and takes you on an adventure true to the original. Music/video remixes are all well and good, but the impressive part is that the composer is a 19 year old from Australia.
Stream/download the song here, watch the video on youtube.
Pogo (or as he calls himself on last.fm) put together a few other songs into an EP called "Wonderland." They are all equally good, just no video for them... yet.
I admit, im a little but vain at times, but that's a natural flaw I suppose. One of the main reasons I stayed so far away from a bluetooth headset was because I think they look absolutely ridiculous on a person. Blinking, on and off, you can't actually see the light. Instead, it acts as a beacon, alerting people around you of your self imposed importance and obvious douchebaggery because you can't be bothered to hold a phone to your important ears.
But I digress, it seems that I succumbed anyway. These headphones look like a prop form Harrison Bergeron (best. sean. astin. movie. evar.) but they work so well, and the sound is amazing and full ranged. Yet I can't help but wonder how big of a douchebag I look to others.
Wired has long been a fan of using neon inks for their magazine covers, and Pantone 805 Orange-Red Neon Ink is somewhat of a signature color. To celebrate, they doused the entire cover in PMS 805; I literally saw the thing sticking out of the mailbox from the other end of the driveway (and I live in a carriage house!). The articles are pretty swell too, a farewell to Bill Gates, BSG, and a bit about how to really cut down global warming...

Oh Hai! I'm Nate and I live in the sometimes beautiful, always exciting, city of Buffalo, NY. I'm not too focused on this blog, but you'll probably end up reading something about Buffalo, my toy obsession, burly bears, club drama, Google Android, and some damn good music. This is my blog. Read it. Cheers.
