Airports are great because you can get a sampling of what hotties in other
parts of the country ( and world) look like. This guy is probably from
Buffalo... but maybe he'll sit next to me... #snap
Here it is, my birthday hat! While the cap is an Offish New Era 59|50 fitted, the emblem is a straight up WhiteBoy lasercut wool felt bootleggery. Whiteboy (Mash Culture Lab) is a label that I completely identify with, but they discontinued their line. I've decided to carry on the legacy for my own personal pleasure... shit, the cock is even tattooed on my arm; I feel a little entitled.
The emblem was laser cut via Ponoko, but the hat itself was damn hard. See, New Era doesn't make blanks for general consumption. I had to buy a NY Yankees cap and pull out the stitches. Let it be known that New Era caps are made to last. I was thinking of using stitching to hold the cock in place, but wool on wool bonds pretty well with leatherworker's glue.

Buffalo is known for its weather, pollocks, and food, but not so much for
fashion. Did you know that New Era, the humble hat company that has
permeated every bit of American culture from baseball to NASA, is based in
Buffalo?
The flagship store, built out of an old reserve bank on 160 Deleware ave, is
a real downtown pride. The guys that work in the store love their caps and
I've always gotten some bit of a discount for living in Buffalo, being a
student, or cause of my serious swagger (right?).
While most New Era caps are sold in shops or online, a privied few are hung
on the walls, like art for you to buy. You have to check it out. A bonus,
they steam fit caps on the spot for free; my size is a 7 1/8 steamed up to
1/4. And if you have an old favorite that looking a little frumpy, bring it
by for a boost.

One of my favorite things about Kaiju is that normally each toy will be released in an original colorway, then as popularity increases, more and more interesting colorways appear. I tend to only want one figure, and I'll wait till I see the style I like best and collect. The Super7 Skulletor Mummy boy light blue vinyl, and sprayed to pay homage to He-Man's nemesis: Skeletor; I'm really digging the blue and yellow. He's available for for a right $50 at Super7 store, online and in SF, on the day AFTER my birthday, the 17th of January. I'm normally not a "cute" Kaiju fan, but I like all things Super7 and who can resist a happy mummy?

Mishka has been mad serious poppin out some quality caps with New Era, and that's special to me being a Buffalo boy. I fell in love with the Keep Watch eyeball, don't know if Lamour Supreme had anything to do with it but it seriously rocks. And the Dog eared cap is just my style: a true 5950, leather made, with the fluff on the side is some serious win. Limited as fuck, so get yours (and mine) now for $74.99.
I'll take one in 7 1/4 and my address is 274 summer st, buffalo ny, 14222. kthx.
My WNYMedia buddy Chris says
this is the face of a serial killer. I wouldn't argue, but today someone
called me a cuddle muffin. Which is which people? Evily? Or Cuddly? #snap
