Today's the day, an ObamaNation starts in just a little bit. I'm sure everyone is glued to live coverage of the Inauguration, so I won't say much, but here is a video to help get the party started:
Daft Punk vs. Adam Freeland - "Aer OBAMA" from Gold Greendot on Vimeo.
The following is a mixed-media stop motion music video and celebration commemorating the election and inauguration of Barack Obama as the forty-fourth president of these United States. Audibly showcasing Adam Freeland's remix of Daft Punk's "Aerodynamic" and the imaginative stylings of forward thinking toy artists Dalek, Bill McMullen and Kubrick to name just a few. Independently animated and directed by the progressive minds of the directing team GOLD, the piece is a labor of love that invites everyone to join in or create their own celebration this coming Tuesday January the 20th.
I can't think of anything more awesome than Daft Punk, Vinyl, and Obama mixed together.
Its MLK day, and my service is to be cuddle companion to my kitty Skylar,
who missed me all weekend. I missed him too, one of these days I'll pack him
up and take him to DC... #snap
Everything is a hustle and bustle downtown, especially Ben's Chili Bowl. And
ill say that as much as I love Starbucks, they are never open after 10.
After tracking back and forth all over U st, we finally come across this
little mediterranean coffee shop. The 930 club opens at 1130 for blowoff and
I'm not moving till then. #snap
I remember a time when I could live on a dollar a day. 3 (four if you buy in bulk) Cup Noodles a day provide enough sodium, carbs, and soy protein to fool your collegiate body into a sense of nourishment, and justifying the rest of your meager funds for more important things: booze and ping pong balls.
Over at DVICE, Sci-Fi Channel's half-assed tech/culture blog, they post about an official Cup Noodle machine that is so easy to use, "allowing you to get a hot cup of sodium-enriched noodles with the push of a button. Small enough to fit on your countertop, it's the perfect kitchen accessory for the cripplingly lazy and seriously unhealthy."Um, Ok. I watched the video, and here are the steps involved..
Stock the noodle machine (holds 3-4 in the hopper)
Fill the reservoir with water.
Turn on, let the water heat.
Insert coinage into the damn thing (great to charge roomates, sucks for you if you used all your quarters for laundry).
After the hopper gracefully rolls out a cup, unwrap it and peel the lid back halfway.
Place the cup in the water dispensing slot, pull the yellow slide back and press the red button, then press it again to stop the water.
Tape the lid shut and place it in the top bin to sit for 3 minutes, and press the timer start button.
When Eric Leven isn't busy making reality for MTV, he's a serious activist for HIV/AIDS and safe sex practices. His latest PSA asks a very important question: "Why are we barebacking?"

A lot of firsts are happening this upcoming week, one of them being that the Lesbian and Gay Bands of America will be the first LGBT organization to march in an Inaugural Parade. But, damn, it isn't cheap. Each person has to pay their way with lodging, meals, transportation, and all the other little expenses that can come about from an event like this.
YOU can totally help. Click here and you'll be taken to a page to learn more about the band, and how to donate. Ten bucks can buy someone lunch, and $40 will secure a hardworking band member bus fare. Give a little bit, or give a lot, these guys (and gals) are seriously representing and deserve it all,

Oh Hai! I'm Nate and I live in the sometimes beautiful, always exciting, city of Buffalo, NY. I'm not too focused on this blog, but you'll probably end up reading something about Buffalo, my toy obsession, burly bears, club drama, Google Android, and some damn good music. This is my blog. Read it. Cheers.
