Amanda Visell Weatherbot

I’m about a week and a half late posting about this, but John gifted me this amazing new print from Amanda Visell for Christmas. Amanda Visell really pwned 2008 with her hop skip and a jump from painting -> wood -> resin -> vinyl. While a lot of artist do this, Amanda keeps her wood and brushstroke style congruent among all mediums.

“Weatherbot” is a winterscene, featuring a enormungo robot with the ability to control the skies. The townsfolk appear to be gathering around, Gulliver Travels style, in attempts to thwart the metal monstrosity. Limited, signed, and numbered at 50 prints, by Amanda Visell.

PS – Giclee is the stupidest name for any printed technique. it even pronounces lame: “zee-clay.” However it produces amazingly accurate prints.

Confetti cannons FTW…. #snap

Richard, our manager at Club Marcella, wears a tux once a year… the rest
of the year, he’s in sweats… have a happy new years everybody! #snap

Went to court again, Mr. Savage’s (ironic name eh?) Lawyer was in Canadia
yesterday. Today didn’t go as planned either, actually better though because
he waived the hearing.. the scales of justice are tipping quite well.

Meanwhile, the Bitch that is Buffalo dropped over a half foot of snow on her
city overnight. Hopefully this too won’t melt away by a 40+ heatwave…

Here’s an update to some of the things that happened this past week…

1. We caught the guy who robbed me last Monday, and I went down and
ID’d him on Sunday. Court was today but since his lawyer was mucking
around in Canada, we had to reschedule for tomorrow. I’m off for New
Years, so its not like I’m missing work.

2.I lost my old hat and gloves, but I found a new hat and gloves. I’ve
been typecast to wear this hat for eternity it seems…

3. I left my iPod at the club, and if I can’t find it tomorrow, I’m
gonna be a sad boy. I need my tunes…

Another Monday, the first after the holidays, but the last before New Years.
All the snow is melty and the sun may even come out today, as the
temperature creeps up to 40. I left my iPod at the club, so I have to trust
it will be safe till New Years Eve….#snap

Randiski (randall, my inker) invited me to see Coolio at the Towne Ballroom.
Its a free show and totally gonna be so much fun. Ps. Check out the new
Guess jacket my dad bought me for my birthday…

I’m back home after a good few days in the sticks… and Skylar sure is glad
to have me back. I never knew a cat so needy and snuggly. Angel said he was
depressed acting the whole time I was away. I’m starting to tear a little…
I’m a bit allergic to the furbag, didn’t miss that one bit… #snap

This is my second cousin, Steve Bennett. He calls me "trouble," I call him
"old man." When I lived in Bradford, he’d always con me into washing his Oil
truck. #snap

Met up with a few of the breakfast clutch for some good food before heading
out and about today. There’s only a few places in Buffalo like this, but I
don’t like pissing off to the east side to go to ‘em.
