It looks like its going to be a busy night. I had to sneak a quick look
before we cut out the light for the nite. Looks like a lot of silly straight

Once Price Rite opens later this spring, the Elmwood North end of the
"Village" will once again be the perfect block for cheap hipsters and
college students who can’t afford to live in the flashy shopping section of
the Elmwood Village. The Chinese Kitchen will not win awards for anything
but speed and affordability, but I end up eating Lo Mein at least three
times a week. My tip, get your chinese spicy: I’m a firm deluder that spicy
food kills bacteria. I like it though, but then again I also eat icecream
with beer. #snap

Last night, Continental flight 3407, operated by Colgan Air, on its way to Buffalo, NY, from Newark, NJ went down in Clarence, NY. 50 souls were lost: 44 passengers, two pilots, two flight attendants, one off-duty pilot, and one man who was in the residence the plane crashed into. As a resident of Buffalo, the crash was 20 miles away from me. However, friends and I gathered on twitter shortly after it happened, trying to sort out details and being a community, we were all affected.

As the Buffalo area struggles to embrace the enormity of this situation, please direct your prayers and thoughts to the families who lost loved ones, and those who are still waiting to find out. Please pray for the emergency crews, the city of Buffalo, the town of Clarence, and all the organizations who are working hard to take care of this horrible mess.

The gap between buses has stabilized enough that I’m able to make it to my
coffee spot downtown for a red eye boost. I really enjoy the quick service
at the Coffee Roastery. I’m in an out in less than two minutes… a win for
my microscheduled morning routine. #snap.

Its 40F for another day, and while most of this mess is melting, piles of
nasty brown snow make this stage a shiteious sight. Not to mention the piles
of dog shit emerging from the wreckage like a rotten tulip. Smells great…

I’ve started a new tattoo project with Randall. It was originally meant to be this smallish tattoo anywhere on my body and anything that Randall wanted. As I wanted the surprise to be unveiled on the day of the tattoo, I only went so far in inquiry as to ask how much it was going to cost. Randall’s reply: “we’ll do it by session.”  Turns out that sessions meant an entire side piece, featuring a few of my favorite Kaiju toys, with a random geometric patterny background.

I’ve always wanted a large piece of ink on my and my brain stormed over what pieces to choose for permanent enshrinement on my body. I’ve been seriously loving on Super7 work, and thought that the Snakes of Infinity fight kaiju were the best match. Originally we were thinking putting all the figures, but the incredible detail of Mongolion took over…

Mongolion is the newest addition to the Super7 Snakes of Infinity series, designed by Lamour Supreme, and sculpted by Cosmo Liquid. I’m a big fan of Lamour because of his involvement with the kaiju world and Mishka. This sculpt is unreal. Mongolion stands no taller than all the other SOI (about 5-6 inches) but has enough detail to be over a foot tall. just look at the feet, most kaiju have flat bottom feet, but Mongolion has fully sculpted feet. And come-on, he has snakes for suspenders! The first release drops in early March. Until then, I can’t get color on the tattoo, because I want it to match the first spray. I can’t wait!

I have to say, this freakin hurts! I’m good at channeling pain, but the ribs are no fun to get ink on. period. I’ll grin and bear it, because this is going to be the sickest tattoo ever. once its finished, I expect my entire left side to be something amazing. I’ve already got a little love from Mister Supreme, and that’s like the best thing ever. I’m going to have to stalk the MISHKA workshop if I ever make it to NYC, track him down and show him in person.
