Explosive Nipple Play

01.15.2009 @ 5:28 PM in Culture

I have my nipples pierced. I like the attention they get, and I may stretch them out a bit more. However, I draw the line when it comes to putting explosives near or heaven forbid, IN my nipples. BMEzine seems to know people who don’t care about any of that, and the result is surprisingly awesome. Makes me want to consider it.. maybe.

Buffa-Awesome: New Era Flagship Store

01.15.2009 @ 1:17 AM in Lifestream

Buffalo is known for its weather, pollocks, and food, but not so much for
fashion. Did you know that New Era, the humble hat company that has
permeated every bit of American culture from baseball to NASA, is based in
Buffalo?

The flagship store, built out of an old reserve bank on 160 Deleware ave, is
a real downtown pride. The guys that work in the store love their caps and
I’ve always gotten some bit of a discount for living in Buffalo, being a
student, or cause of my serious swagger (right?).

While most New Era caps are sold in shops or online, a privied few are hung
on the walls, like art for you to buy. You have to check it out. A bonus,
they steam fit caps on the spot for free; my size is a 7 1/8 steamed up to
1/4. And if you have an old favorite that looking a little frumpy, bring it
by for a boost.

WANT: Super7 Skulletor Mummy Boy

01.15.2009 @ 12:20 AM in Culture

skulletor_mummy

One of my favorite things about Kaiju is that normally each toy will be released in an original colorway, then as popularity increases, more and more interesting colorways appear. I tend to only want one figure, and I’ll wait till I see the style I like best and collect. The Super7 Skulletor Mummy boy light blue vinyl, and sprayed to pay homage to He-Man’s nemesis: Skeletor; I’m really digging the blue and yellow.  He’s available for for a right $50 at Super7 store, online and in SF, on the day AFTER my birthday, the 17th of January. I’m normally not a “cute” Kaiju fan, but I like all things Super7 and who can resist a happy mummy?

WANT: MISHKA Keep Watch Aviator Cap

01.14.2009 @ 6:13 PM in Culture

The rest of this week, I will be posting selfish things that I want for my birthday. First up is the Mishka Keep Watch Aviator brown leather New Era Cap.

aviator_hat_front_web

Mishka has been mad serious poppin out some quality caps with New Era, and that’s special to me being a Buffalo boy. I fell in love with the Keep Watch eyeball, don’t know if Lamour Supreme had anything to do with it but it seriously rocks.  And the Dog eared cap is just my style: a true 5950, leather made, with the fluff on the side is some serious win. Limited as fuck, so get yours (and mine) now for $74.99.

I’ll take one in 7 1/4 and my address is 274 summer st, buffalo ny, 14222. kthx.

Durex: get it on

01.14.2009 @ 5:53 PM in Culture

Superfad, the ad agency behind so many cool ads, like those Visa Olympic spots that they somehow were able to turn out overnight, have made a hilarious commercial for Durex.

Visit the Superfad site for some outakes as well as the ad in QT.

BuffaFace – I Keel U Wit’ Kuddles!

01.14.2009 @ 4:28 PM in Lifestream

My WNYMedia buddy Chris says

called me a cuddle muffin. Which is which people? Evily? Or Cuddly? #snap

Pantone / Gap NYC Pop-Up Store

The love for Pantone never seems to go away, as it penetrates every part of the fashion / design spectrum. Pantone is normally behind the scenes, but Gap is bringing everybody’s favorite color system to the front of fashion with a new Pop Up shop in NYC.

Open from now until February 8th, shoppers can stop in and pick up a Gap tee in a variety of Pantone hues and shades. Pantone has also named Mimosa (14-0848) the color of the 2009 and Gap will offer a special tee in that color, only available on the 5th.

This isn’t the first time Pantone got all fashionista, they did the same thing before with Uniqlo. The pop-up store is right next to the NYC Gap Flagship store at 54th and 5th Ave.

Snap! – First Trim of 2009

01.13.2009 @ 10:41 PM in Lifestream

I’m due to be 23 in a few days, and I have to look my best. Normally I’d
trim the beard a bit more, but seeing as Blowoff is one of my B-Day weekend
activities, I’m trying to retain more scoundrel, less prep. #snap

Snap! – Bowling Daze

01.13.2009 @ 5:06 PM in Lifestream

I never bowled as a kid, never in HS, and never so much as more than a
handful of time in these days. I’m pretty sucky at it. But damn, these kids
even have bowling shirts and uniforms… if I knew that HS bowling coaches
were such hot daddies.. I may have sought out private school.. #snap
