Still Alive, check back after the flu shot

I'm really a bad blogger... I promise I'll post more this week. I seem to be posessing a very low amount of motivation lately, and thats being allocated for keeping my job ( getting out of bed, getting dressed, running the lab, making it home, making it into bed). Blogging is left with good intentions, as I had pics of my lab to show, pics of the sabres game I went to, and pics ofmy thanksgiving trip to my folks. But thank God for flickr, because my account has stayed up-to-date thanks to the beauty of drag and drop. Oh, and when are you supposed to have your Christmas cards out? I've never done the snail mail good cheer thing before, and I don't wanna muck it up. Finally, I'm getting my flu shot for work. I've never had a flu shot, so this may turn out ugly. Lets hope for the best.

1pasword is the ultimate mac app for keeping track of all those passwords and forms online. Pretty sweet, I digg it. (Yes, I'm on Macheist, and yes I want that loot!) http://1passwd.com/

Take a leap, and see where you fall.

So I'm no longer single, but I'm not as attached as I hoped. I've been hanging out with a guy named Mike for a while, and I never really knew if he wanted to date, or just be casual sex partners.

Perfect Date, Perfect Dessert

I had the most refreshing date last night. It's not often that I come across a gentleman, someone that familiar with proper procedures for wining and dining a southern belle like me. He was a tad late meeting me at SPoT, but I didn't hold it against him; he was a fellow foot traveler and the weather was dreary. We talked for a bit and then went over to The Chocolate Bar, for cheese plate. His name is Brian and he's not from the parts of Bufalo, hence the gentleman in him. A Cuban with a British accent was not what someone I'd expect to go on a date with; it was a real change of pace for me, and I really enjoyed his company. We left the bar to watch SawIII, which I had seen before, but gladly sat through again to watch Brian squirm and jump at the juicy bits. Then back to the Chocolate Bar, where we indulged in the most delicious chocolate creations that I have ever had. I had sense enough to snap a few pics with the phone before we devoured the masterpieces: 11-16-06_0006.jpg 11-16-06_0008.jpg 11-16-06_0004.jpg 11-16-06_0005.jpg 11-16-06_0007.jpg The waitress bought us chocolate shots (because we were so cool) and we took turns on the Chocolate Cherry Teardrop, and the Heavenly Heath Pie.

Damage report

I would like to take a moment of silence right now to remember my fallen monitors, peripherals, and one brave IBM PIII 450 desktop that were taken so tragically over the weekend. ... OK, that aside, I can't wait till I can get my mother 'effin replacements. My staff computer, though heavily pelted, came out on top, and unscathed. We still don't know where the water came from on the second floor bathroom that made it fuck my day up Monday.

What a Monday to show up for... I should have called in. The mens bathroom above my lab flooded somehow over the weekend and subsequentially dropped water and ceiling tiles on top of my unsuspecting computer lab. Four computers got soaked, and everything on my desk drenched as well. I hate Mondays.

If you didn't vote, shut the fuck up when you don't like whats going on with the city; you obviously didn't care too much.

Boneheaded Move

Ooops! I somehow managed to overwrite my stylesheet on the blog and I don't have a local copy to replace it with. Oh well. I guess it was time for a change.. Here is a new style (not created by me) that I will be tweaking and molestering until it is sufficiently suitable to replace the old one... By the way, I was trying to upload a css file for this. AOL just released the use of some sexy AJAX driven AIM API code, I had to get a key and pop something up.
