The Box: Movie Trailer

I absolutely love Donnie Darko. Richard Kelly is an awesome director, and if we can forgive him for Southland Tales, then I’m sure that The Box is going to be awesome. Based on a short story from Richard Matheson, The Box materialized once as a Twilight Zone episode (called Button Button), but in Kelly’s hand will be turned into a dark story of choice. Comes out October 10th, 2009…
Warner Bros – Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.

I’ve heard about this movie being made for some time. I just hope it lives up to his story.
This movie looks really nice!
I am a fan of both versions of the story, and to see another version of this movie will be interesting, and with this included mindfuck this trailer seems to show.
What make me to watch it is the perfect performance of Cameron Diaz as Norma Lewis, and also Richard Kelly that successful become director and story writer, thumb ups for for all who involved in this project.
